Situations like that usually come via artwork or liking the same character, albeit differently. I notice some yumes commission solo fanart of canon characters, so anyone can like that.

IDC either way I just kinda miss life before fandom and chronic use of internet because girls were more about climbing that career ladder and less about gay porn and men were more about well… not sure that men were ever about anything great but some were inventors of actuslly useful non crypto non ai stuff and there were less mgtow incels

So while the state of the world vastly underwhelms me and I would never be thrilled about making a yumejoshi friend not in a million years I guess someone who is enthusiastic enough about something this cringe is one of the best types of online friends one still makes in 2025 I guess

I truly cannot understand the appeal. My personal involvement with the fiction I enjoy has to be a fat 0%. I do not want to put myself in there. I am a fly on the wall, merely observing.

This is one of those things I have to go "I believe the concept is appealing to you" on, and not much else, because I cannot for the life of me understand how shipping yourself with a character is in any way, shape or form interesting, lmao
