IDC either way I just kinda miss life before fandom and chronic use of internet because girls were more about climbing that career ladder and less about gay porn and men were more about well… not sure that men were ever about anything great but some were inventors of actuslly useful non crypto non ai stuff and there were less mgtow incels

So while the state of the world vastly underwhelms me and I would never be thrilled about making a yumejoshi friend not in a million years I guess someone who is enthusiastic enough about something this cringe is one of the best types of online friends one still makes in 2025 I guess

Manfield Park just isn't my cup of tea. I don't find Fanny to be a very interesting character, her situation is just so damn SAD, and she deserved better than her oblivious cousin and falling in love with the only guy who was a little bit nice to her. But I'd be willing to give a good adaptation a chance.

The 1999 one involved a total personality transplant for Fanny, which... well, I like that type of character better, but it's not really the character in the book. The Billie Piper version just kept throwing me because Billie Piper looks so very, very modern.

When Ganons claiming how he only cared about his people in WW and that why he HAD to wage war against Hyrule and employ two brainwashers I’m like “dude I don’t think the Gerudo even liked you” much less that you were actually working for their benefit. In every timeline we see the Gerudo without Ganondorf they seem to be thriving on their own.

This is INCREDIBLY unsurprising. When are people going to learn that these great big smear campaigns (almost always against women 🤔) that pop up out of nowhere and sound vaguely ridiculous aren't organic? This started from bad actors who are literally setting out to post something that is ridiculous and yet just plausible enough that people will believe it, to make people on the left look like they're overreacting. Taylor Swift isn't a Nazi, her lightning bolt necklace referenced her song lyrics rather than the Nazi symbol, and fantasizing about getting married and having children with her partner isn't a white supremacist tradwife dog whistle. It's frustrating and sad that so many people bought into this.

I've watched the show 3 times and I still don't understand the
queerbaiting allegations. Elliot never showed romantic interest in Tyrell, or liked him as a person, pretty sure he's into girls only, and Tyrell was obsessed with a person who didn't exist. I guess nobody cares about the canon gay

I'm not a big fan of MPREG but if it means I no longer have to deal with annoying author inserts so one half of the fic's main gay couple can impregnate her

I don't get it, either. She has her moments and the occasional turn of phrase impresses me. She's clearly got the talent for creating characters that resonate, though tbh if I hadn't watched The Untamed, I probably wouldn't be into it so much. It took the live action to bring them alive for me.

As for the sex scenes... I honestly don't know how people can say they're good, or titillating or whatever. I've heard some critics say it reads like bad 90s yaoi. I wouldn't know, they just seem very badly written and over the top silly with high cringe factor.
