I've always been in the belief that the majority of the accusations were bull done for money. I'm not trying to say any actual victims are liars, but I've been doubtful of many of the cases, moreso when many of those same ones came forward later and admitted to lying.

What I do think occurred? Jackson was neglected and abused as a child and wanted to help other kids not feel as he did growing up. Problem is, he didn't fully understand what was considered normal/appropriate (his brothers used to bang chicks with him in the same room as a child, to help paint a baseline of some of his issues). So he overcompensated - got too close, too touchy (not bad touchy, just touchy), tried to hard to paint a picture of what he thought represented normal, and it came off, strange, maybe a bit uncomfortable. I don't think anything was ever done with malice or with predatory intent.

This is purely speculation, ofc, but it's what I always thought was closer to the truth.

Intent doesn't matter. "Michael Jackson was a victim" and "he may not have meant to hurt children, but bordered on non-contact inappropriate behavior" are both true.
