I'm so sorry, that sounds like it really sucked. It must be even worse coming from a parent. I'm sorry that happened.

Thanks. I know it's pretty messed up but I'm used to it. My mother is petite and slender and traditionally feminine and she's never gotten over the fact that I'm not a mini version of her, nor can I be molded into one. I just ignore her attempts and let her complain.

Ugh, that sucks. My grandmother was all that too. Plus very racist. She was pretty awful to my dad growing up too. I had mostly cut her out of my life before she passed a few years ago.
