Or... maybe they understand that people aren't immune to saying stupid, insensitive shit, especially when they're young. And as long as they understand what they said was stupid, insensitive shit and resolve to do better, they shouldn't be crucified for a single insulting comment for the rest of their life.

People are arguing it's not the definition of bullying because it was OP who referred to it as bullying. It was OP who first brought it up, anon. So people are responding to that. It's not some weird hangup that came out of nowhere. And nobody is even remotely suggesting that anything Chandler said was okay, so I don't get this weird judgment of those pointing out nuance.

Fat Monica being problematic is another discussion entirely.

Well said. People shouldn't only be judged based upon the worst aspects of themselves and with no context, because how do we grow if we don't go beyond that?
Humans are complex and we become better people by learning from our outrageously stupid mistakes. Sorry that not all individuals are just born innately good and know how to behave in ways in which they don't inadvertently hurt others and never need to fix errors they made, especially really big bad ones that will be extremely embarrassing to recollect upon.
