Warning: Taylor Swift I know people are tired of secrets about this woman, and I'm sorry!

My family is generally good overall but there are some hangups around the holidays that make it a really really tough time. I spent Christmas Day watching the Eras Tour film and the last few episodes of the Eras docuseries, and that was genuinely the best part of my day*.

You may think that's sad, and I don't disagree with you. It IS sad. But regardless, this was a huge bright spot in what was otherwise a really terrible day, and I'm glad I had something to cheer me up.

*Other than my cat. But she is the best part of all my days.

I"m sorry your family is so crap, OP. I'm glad you did get a few bright spots. Whatever makes you happy. And also, kitties are always the brightest of bright spots in any day.

I agree with you about the kitties 💛 And thank you. My mom in particular is great like 95% of the time, but holidays always fall into the 5% where she is decidedly NOT great. And even though I am used to it and know to expect it, it really, really sucks. I'm planning on taking some kind of trip next year for Thanksgiving and Christmas so I don't have to be around it.
