My sister was really bad about this when we were kids. If I was listening to music or watching TV she would say 'why don't we put on something that everyone wants to listen to/watch?' to switch to what she preferred. If I said no she would complain I was being selfish. But if *she* was listening to/watching something and I said the same thing to her then too bad, she was here first and I shouldn't whine about it.

Made the mistake of moving in with my sister, and eventually realized I'd set myself up to relive my childhood. Where my sister would ask me for my opinion just to shut it down. Constantly forced me to do things like how she wanted but turned down my suggestions. At least it forced me to learn to advocate for myself.

I don't live with my sister anymore lmao
