Sorry your efforts are not being appreciated. Especially sorry that you have been disrespected in your relationships and by family. I agree with the other responses saying to set boundaries for yourself for sure.

If you never say no, you'll find yourself pushed past your limits. Some people are assholes and will take endlessly without a care, while others have good intentions and no way of knowing that you're at your limit if you're not standing up for yourself and saying you need a break. I'm not trying to excuse the people who are taking advantage of you, just focusing on the part of this you have control over, if that makes sense. I used to be more like you, and would often end up burnt out, resentful and unable to do good for others or myself.

Don't offer more than you can give without hurting yourself, and don't feel obligated towards people who don't return your kindness. That's not being an asshole, that's being a dependable person who takes care of themselves.
