Not entirely sure on the details of the two, but it feels like Batman might actually have a higher burden of proof than the SVU detectives.

Every time I watched or overheard an episode of SVU The guy got away with it and the cops just said, "we'll get him next time." Did they finally just get fed up and start shooting?

Only the most boring, un-nuanced version of Batman. Otherwise it's disgusting state corruption vs a guy who actually tries to rehab his villains and address the causes of crime.

I've been on this forum for... fifteen years...? And I don't think I've ever disagreed with a secret more than this one. They're cops! You can't be a vigilante with the entire NYPD backing you up!
