yup, i remember fandom hyping the shit out of its fanfic version at the time. it’s why the brunette guy is the bottom because that’s bucky and the fandom leaned towards bottom bucky most of the time back then, don’t know what it’s like now as i don’t do any mcu fandom anymore.

The author tried to launch it as pro fic, didn't sell, turned it into a Steve/Bucky AU, then later pulled it to publish successfully this time, so one more step than most pull to publish stories!
