along similar lines, why does "mouth breather" mean stupid? it just means you have sinus problems!!

Right? This time of a year I can never breathe through my nose, and basically all year I can't breathe through my nose at night. Sinus problems allergies, yay.

People with Down Syndrome typically breathe through their mouths so I suspect that's where it came from.
