Re: Not washing your ass

This is purely anecdotal, but... maybe? I've always loved reading advice columns since I was a kid, and I've seen this issue come up. Usually it's embarrassed wives or girlfriends who can't bring themselves to talk to their family/friends about their boyfriend/husband's dirty habits because they're too embarrassed, and they're just sort of... looking for confirmation that not washing your ass is gross? Because the man presents it like it's normal, or just a Man Thing and the wife/girlfriend is overreacting, being judgmental, etc. I've also seen regular posts about this on reddit, again from embarrassed women who feel like they're crazy or mean for being upset that their boyfriend left skidmarks on the sheets.

Now, you can say that people are known and lie, and of course this is true. So many? Over decades, in different forums, about this specific thing? I suspect that there's no smoke without fire, and that some men were raised by wolves, never learned personal hygiene and are trying to normalize it with their grossed-out partners instead of growing up and learning to embrace soap and water. And no, it's not just a blue collar thing.
