I hate the possessive/'touch her and die' trope in romance.

I understand why some people would like it, but it's off-putting to me. I'd find it oppressive to be with someone like that.

I realize people can find things hot in fiction that they wouldn't want in real life, and I think people would take this as me being unable to separate fiction from real life - but I just don't find it hot either!
