Same. I remember how there were websites back in the day counting down to when Britney Spears would be legal. And how the media treated Monica Lewinsky was unforgivable. At the time it didn't seem that weird to me because I was young enough that I'd never really thought about the power dynamic and 22 seemed ancient. But the frigging adults running those stories absolutely should have known better.

Ugh, the countdown websites are SO gross. I think at least maybe those days are over, I haven't heard anything about one of those in a long time. I remember some actress (maybe Emma Watson?) who had an upskirt photo taken almost as soon as she turned 18. It's so disgusting. And yeah, Monica Lewkinsky is SUCH a wild thought as an adult. I was really young when that went on so most of it flew over my head, but I do remember how heavily SHE was shamed. The power imbalance is off the charts. Being a young-20s intern vs the literal president of the US? Yeah, no. She should not have been blamed or shamed in the slightest for that.
