Because of my experiences, I get wary when I hear or see someone say they exclusively/only read nonfiction because I mentally associate it with my ex. My ex was one of the most pretentious people I've ever met. He read exclusively nonfiction (and refused to read anything else), and he belittled me because I read fiction (I also read nonfiction too) and would call me a childish loser for wanting to read about made-up worlds/people. There's a reason an ex.
