I just find people who think like this are boring as shit and insufferable. I'm lucky I encountered only a couple of them IRL.
Not reading fictional books because you have aphantasia or/and you have no time and toher interests? SURE, OK. Not a problem. Everyone has their preferences and schedules. Not reading fictional books because you find them childish? WELL. You better never watch a movie or go to the theatre or even enjoy music who tell a story because guess what it's all made up. And the philosophy/history factoids guys like that (because it's usually men) spew out is all based on myths or parables and guess what it's all made up stories, too.
Human culture is based on fictional stories...
