You go on exactly three (3) dates, and then you kiss, and if you decide you like it, you propose and get married, and then you have sex and this is the way all relationships happen, regardless of culture or religion. Once you have sex with a gender, that is the orientation you must be forever. Asexuality was not a thing. Bisexuality was not a thing. Pansexuality was not a thing. Having sex on the first, second, or third date was not a thing. No one does that. No one discovers they were suppressing their sexuality, no one has multiple partners.

All of this was cited as "evidence" that Hannibal could not possibly be in love with Will on NBC Hannibal even though the guy arguing saw the scene where Will asked if Hannibal was in love with him and was told yes. It was only there because the writers obviously just wanted to add something shocking, and not a natural course of the developing relationship from the very beginning of the show.

This was the weirdest guy I've ever talked to and oh boy did he have things he needed to work through....
