I think people like that are so obnoxious. Reading in general is good, but we all have different points of interest and there's nothing wrong with that.

I feel like exclusively reading nonfiction books would get so boring.

Also, the nonfiction books section is where I've come across some the worst writers AND the genre is chocked full if money hungry grifters. Nonfiction books are by no mean inherently better than fiction books.

I agree with your last line very much. NOT ALL nonfiction, of course not. But there are so many people writing these nonfiction pseudoscientific self-help utter garbage books just to try and become the next big thing that everyone buys into so they can make a lot of money.
