Worked from home again, ice hadn't melted. Allergies pretty bad and I just feel lousy.

Got into an argument with a guy on Facebook who decided to say I had blood on my hands because I didn't believe Obama was just as bad as Trump on immigration.

Had to get a sewer line and pipe in my basement replaced. Plumber said it would be between 4k-5k. Yesterday, he told me it would be around 5k. Gave me the bill today and it was $8000!!!! He took off $1500 because I paid cash but I am just...not in a good mood. I was hoping to get a new computer monitor and a bookcase but that won't be happening any time soon.

Yeah. :/ I'm just exhausted. They've been at my house for like 5 days and they never showed up before 11am and one night worked until 7pm! Just come EARLIER?! I just want them gone.

Goddamn last minute shit dumped at me at work. At least I got through it, I guess. Got a bunch of shit I need to deal with tomorrow, as it got pushed aside for the last minute shit. Hoping for quick and acceptable resolutions.

Average. A guy from the phone company showed up without telling us, luckily we were home. I guess they thought the work was all outside, but they needed to access some modem inside. He was super nice though, so it wasn't that bad.

I had to have an internet guy at my house Tuesday. He had to replace all the router because it was going bad. Got mud everywhere.

Luckily everything's still frozen solid where I am. Though we have so much snow (like three feet at least) that I literally have no clue how he can get at let alone find anything outside!
Oof, you'd think they would at least have those shoe covers (smocks?) when the weather is this bad, having a bad router is bad enough without having to get a mop for when it's fixed.

The plumbers have been out so much, I feel like I am constantly cleaning.

Aw man, at this point you should be sending them a cleaning bill! Part of me would be possessed by my grandmother and just want to lay towels along their path wherever they went. But I'm not sure if laundry is any easier than mopping.

Chilly here, though not East Coast chilly by any stretch.
Kind of depressed. Wondering if I have the spoons to go to the Democratic Socialist meeting in a nearby town tonight.

It’s my Saturday. I took a very cold walk with my dog, read for a while, drank a lot of tea, and made a fabulous scratch bean soup for dinner and got all the leftovers poured into soup cubes and put in the freezer. It’s been a perfect day. Tomorrow I’m making a super simple throw quilt although I won’t have time to do the actual quilting until…well, let’s just say I hope to send it to my cousin before winter is over but it may end up being a Christmas gift. Possibly in 2027.

Fucking tourists. I wish they'd all fuck right off.

The ferries were off yesterday because of the weather, and I got home a full hour earlier than normal because the tourist traffic wasn't fucking up the road.

Tourists, go home and stay there.
