Based off what I've experienced in the US for past 40 years, no. If we're lucky, we'll get the monsters in charge out and possibly ICE will be defunded to the point of no longer existing or being absorbed into some non-work work.

We'll get a lot of "what a shameful part of America" comments from politicians but fucking nothing will actually be done. Back to putting thumbs up their asses as they find the next super PAC or special interest group to accept money from so they can continue to pretend to be doing something when all they're doing is finding ways to put more money into the pockets of the wealthy class.
And then 5 years later those same politicians will be angrily tweeting sick burns about the racist fascists regaining support and power because they didn't do jack fucking shit to hold anyone to account.
Fucking fun.

Not saying I'm a Doomer. Right now, we gotta fight and protest and do something.
But the moment we get things feeling not so dire, most people (and especially politicians) go back to "normal". And as people bitch about how we can't let fascism take power again, fucking no one will be shaming or holding to account the people who LET all the bad shit happen. Instead they make mean comments and simply...allow the corruption to continue.
I'm so sick of them all. The ones who are blatant evil people who revel in the cruelty of their actions as well as the ones who walk around and say dumb fucking shit like, "What happened is illegal, and we're in the process of calling the head of the operations to answer stern questions we have!" And the Senate/Congressional hearing will just be a bunch blahblahblah where again FUCKING NOTHING happens.

Tl;dr - 35 years from now someone's going to write a novel about a boy who discovers the old man who lives next door used beat and kill minorities
