I worked in the music industry for about 10 years, I was always on staff to load in/out concerts, roam backstage, get recorded content to play on-air, hobnob, run meet n' greets, etc. I drove bands around in my car, ate dinner with them backstage, did interviews, and even did lights for some at small cafe shows.

I still own the guitar cable Sixpence left in our radio studio after an interview, we asked the label if they wanted it back but they didn't care, so I kept it. Haven't played my guitar in 20 years, I should really restring it.

Well, once got stuck in an elevator with Arman Shimmerman for a few minutes. Was interesting. I was pretty shy, so didn't really interact much. But he was really kind and seemed a genuinely good guy. Was at Dragoncon. After less than 10 minutes, not sure exactly how long, the elevator moved again.

Also met John Williams once as a very young kid. My dad used to sing for the Boston Pops years ago, and even after he left that we'd go to the concert convention thing they had every summer up until we moved overseas. My dad would get free or discounted tickets in return for reviewing the concerts for not sure who, been a long time. I was a very young kid, so I don't remember much. My parents say I was excited, though, and said something about loving Star Wars.

oh man! being in an elevator at DragonCon with a guest happens a lot, it's always a good time. mine was James Doohan, he complimented my Jedi outfit. I'd have killed for Armin Shimmerman, he seems really cool - his panel with Robert Picardo where they just told hilarious stories for an hour and never took Q&A was unforgettable.

I once recognized a guy on a flight as James Denton, but didn't go up to him because, 1) he was with his young son, 2) though I knew him from both The Pretender and Desperate Housewives, I didn't have the sharpest memories of what all he did in Th Pretender and I had stopped watching Desperate Housewives, and 3) I'm pretty introverted at times and didn't really feel up to an interaction. But, during a layover, I was in the airport and very close to the row of seats I was sitting in, a couple of people came up to him and I saw and heard a lot of it and he was very gracious to them and talked to them for several minutes.

I met Frank Iero a couple of years ago after a show. He was very nice and gave me a hug when I thanked him for putting on such a great show. He also recorded a happy birthday message for my best friend.

No. But two of my coworkers told me the same story but in different cities with different bands. They went to a concert, went out behind the building of the concert for a smoke break after the concert and ran into the band they were there to see. Can't remember the band in Los Angeles, but the band in Boulder were The Flaming Lips.

Yeah, a couple when I was working in an arts centre in Australia in the 90s (some of them weren't celebs at the time but they are now). They were all very hard working and professional!

Great actually. I met one of the guys from Lonestar on a cruise, I was by the pingpong table and he offered to play with me, (there was a mini tournament type thing and my sister didn't want to play) he was super nice and he talked to me about how he didn't actually like cruises because the only ones he'd been on were for his band. (I didn't know who he was at the time) I asked my dad who was sleeping nearby who Lonestar was the way he jolted was hilarious. We lost the tournament but he always said hi whenever we crossed paths. Great guy!

I met a few NHL players most before they were drafted but a few who were playing at the time. They pretty much all have good careers too. I met them through my cousins who played with them over the years. They were all nice, I was a cute kid so they put up with me when we went to hang out after the game with my cousin.
Also the Canucks team which errr... didn't go as well. It was the only time I met a famous person in a fan type of way and while the one guy actually put his headphone in my moms ear to listen to his music, I talk with my hands and ended up ripping the headphones out of the other players ear trying to ask for an autograph. omg, he looked so annoyed I wanted to ground to just open up beneath me so bad. (y'know back when headphones needed cords to connect to your device)

Keegan Messing was the only one I talked to but me and my sister got caught between the whole cast of stars on ice trying to run after my mom who just went trying to talk to her idol, and ended up holding the baby nephew and chatting with Piper Gilies and Paul Poirier instead. Keegan was super nice, but we were surrounded and I was in awe.

There are some others I think? My dad in particular runs into famous people all the time, but he's super chill about so we never really hear about until like a month later.

Vincent Price was sweet as could be and even let me pose with him for a photograph.

Carl Reiner was very amiable even to the teen who wasn't sure what to say besides "I enjoyed your son's work on The Princess Bride." (Though I do wonder what he was looking for at REI. The fellow never struck me as much of an outdoorsman.)

quite a few of them. Michael Palin was probably the nicest.

The thing is I don't know baseline for what is even celebrity. I've never met big stars because I am not even American. Our home stars I am not really interested in, so.
I worked as an intern at the big fashion house and I've met a head of it. He was kinda weird with a lot of cringe underlings. I've met a rock star at the queue at some concert lol. I worked in a theatre for couple of months and a lot of people were absolute divas and famous in their field. I work with artists now. They are... artists.
