(Anonymous) 2026-01-31 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)Things like multiple fingers or toes, because a human would have noticed the error while working on this specific part of the image and would have likely fixed it.
And sure, people have accidentally added or removed limbs in Photoshop before but those are noticeable errors. When AI generated images have too many/few limbs it's usually in a way that's not immediately noticeable on first glance because the generated image is supposed to look like it makes sense.
Basically, if the image looks fine while scrolling but has weird effects going on when looking closer, it's usually AI. And yes, caveat, some artists go for the "look closer" weirdness in their art on purpose, but that will usually be evident in their portfolio overall. If your aunt sends you a picture of a cat which looked normal on first glance but then turns out to have two overlaid noses and fur that goes weirdly blurry halfway down the body for no reason, it's probably AI.
(There are also actually good AI images where it's really hard to identify AI but the overwhelming amount right now is slop)

(Anonymous) 2026-01-31 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)I mean, I've seen art from before AI where artists did make too many fingers or toes or put them where it makes no sense. On purpose. As part of the art. Something that is meant to be a real life video, I can figure those out. But not art.

(Anonymous) 2026-02-01 12:41 am (UTC)(link)I just don't have an eye for art, I absolutely cannot tell the difference.
