Most of the things I am a fan of, are huge fandoms. I really am not into any smaller fandoms. It makes me feel like a loser who just follows the crowd, but I swear that's not what I do. 😭
I would like to be in a smaller fandom, to see what it's like. But I either love things that are hugely popular, or they are so small that have no fandom whatsoever.

I don't like heated rivalry and I think it's largely overrated for what it is.

I really wanted to like it, but a lot of it fell flat to me or made me cringe watching. Somehow I thought there would be more actual hockey involved.

I haven't noticed any, but I'm terrible at identifying it, to the point where I've stopped using Google Images when making secrets because I don't want to use one by accident.

People who make their own secrets often google and just grab the first image that looks easy to add text to. I'm just happy to see activity.

It is absolutely overrated. Personally I love it, but the hype is ridiculous. It should have an Untamed kind of fandom, not Game of Thrones.

Just a general FYI, I don't knowingly use AI generated images to make peoples' comment secrets, unless the secret text is specifically referencing AI or some kind of AI art. (Example: someone submitted a secret about AI art in puzzles, and I found an image that showed an example of what they were talking about.)

However... I'm also not great at discerning what is AI and what isn't. And I suspect I'm not alone in that, so you might want to cut people some slack here. If using fanart, I usually credit artists if I can find the source, but I can't always find it.

the only one I've definitely noticed was one with monkeys a week ago. it was pretty obvious it wasn't a photo, just weird blurry textures that no species of monkey has.

Regardless of what size of fandom I end up in, I'm almost always into the major pairing (~99.98%). Does that make my tastes basic bitch? Maybe. Do I give a fuck? Nope.
