This was me. I thought I hated beer, had mostly just had cheep American ones. Then when I was in Mexico I tried Dos Equis (alcohol options were I was were wine or that, and I really hate wine). And I loved it.

So much of the American beer I've tried tasted the same to me (kind of like all wine tastes like wine to me) it was fun to have a non-American one that tasted totally different and went well with the food!

Yup. We do not do beer right here. Don't drink anymore due to migraines. But I'd since tried several other non-American beers that I liked. I really clearly just hated the ones that tasted like bitter water.

The USA has awful beers. Every single one I like is foreign, and because of tariffs they are getting wildly expensive if they’re available at all.

At least not buying booze will save me money, right?
