Re: Complaing or venting or whatever

Yeeaaahhh. Honestly, I don't see a problem with "complaining about complaining" because to me, it's more time and place. Posting a comment here in a vent thread is fine. Even at work I don't care if someone bitches a little, we all have bad days, and sometimes you just need to blow off some steam.

But it's the constant daily complaining that wears me down. Yes, you're tired, most of us are tired. No, you don't want to be here, none of us do. Yes, it's cold outside, we are all aware. Yes, you'd rather be at home in bed, same here.

But do we have to go over these same topics every single day? Like you said, the wallowing and ruminating actually makes things worse if it never stops. I too like to focus on my work itself or else think of other things to distract me to get through the day, rather than continually going on about how tired I am. Some days are harder than others, yes, but some evidently some people have nothing BUT hard days. 🥲

I'm sorry you have a coworker like that too! It's really frustrating to see someone taking advantage and just not caring about how their actions affect others. Of course we all need the bathroom, and sometimes there might be a situation where you spend more time in there than usual, but probably if it's something so severe that it affects you every single day, you need to see a doctor and get some kind of note or explanation.

Same anon, I submitted too soon. I usually take walks daily but it's been so icy out that I haven't been able to in over a week and I think that is starting to affect my mood. Hopefully tomorrow it will have thawed enough that I can go out without being afraid of falling and busting my ass!
