Recently a ton of documents (including texts and emails) from the Blake Lively/Justin Baldoni case got unsealed. I've been following this case for over a year now (and the correct side is Justin Baldoni's.)

I guess I haven't been really incandescently angry in a while. I was a grumpy shouty teen, but that's two decades past by now. These days I try to let things go and not like, chase conflict.

But I got so angry reading those documents that I scared myself into thinking I was finally getting my dad's side's blood pressure problems. I had to dig out a cuff and check my BP (it was fine).

TL:DR It's been so long that anything has made me rage that I assumed I was having a health crisis. Over a celebrity spat about the making of a shitty movie.

Literally everything I've read shows that Lively is kind of a jerk while Baldoni is a POS with a billionaire sugar daddy who is using this to harass multiple women. Who shockingly (/s) uses the same PR person as Depp and Epstein. Birds of a feather.

I kinda agree but also even before all this kicked off she and Ryan were going on about how he rewrote the movie and how she basically took over as director. Baldoni has grounds for his accusations about her taking over the movie. They’re both in the wrong and honestly should have kept this all private because neither is coming out of this with their finances or image intact.

That’s why you saw every awkward moment she’s ever had in the front the camera even though they were all ten years or more before the movie came out. And it’s why there were dozens of articles in 2024 and 2025 about her 2012 wedding.

I don't even like Blake Lively, and I agree that she and her husband took over the movie. But the sexual harassment is disgusting, the PR smearing is disgusting, and Baldoni is disgusting.

I don't know if Baldoni is a creep; he might be, but I do know Lively lied about being a helpless, powerless ingénue at Baldoni's mercy. Nothing in those texts shows she was ever vulnerable to Baldoni. She was literally laughing about what a rube he is with Swift and how she should wrest control of their shitty movie from him because he was weak.

Lively was not afraid of Baldoni at any point in their professional relationship, and I hate that she used white lady tears to make herself look like a victim.

Of course, but that's not how Lively sold what happened!

She repeatedly said that Baldoni used his power as director and producer to intimidate her on and off set. Yet, when she talked about him in private texts, she was laughing at him and calling him a weakling who didn't know what he was doing. She was positive she could use her power and influence to take over their project and didn't seem in any way seem threatened by him. From the way she and Swift were talking, he was a literal nobody with no power to make her do anything or do anything to her.

She blatantly lied about how the whole situation went down. I don't like being lied to about stuff like sexual harassment and sexual abuse. It muddies the water for other potential victims.

People are capable of being scared in the moment of feeling like their safety or comfort was violated, and then later being pissed off and venting with a trusted friend by talking down on the person who harassed them in private. Because that was the only place she could express how she really felt.

What I'm understanding is that (as one example) all parties agreed that Lively asked to be covered during the baby delivery scene. Baldoni and a producer kept trying to talk her out of wanting to be covered up. They then played a video of a naked woman without asking Lively for permission. They then told her it was Baldoni's wife (as if that makes it ok?) when she spoke up and said seeing a naked body made her uncomfortable, ignoring what she said and instead began defending their behavior.

IME if someone keeps ignoring your words of "I'm uncomfortable," they're not safe to be "real" around. If Blake were to tell Baldoni off she'd be put on the record as a bitch/diva or "difficult to work with" or "unprofessional".

Based off their actions, he seems like the POS. They were working and he did all that stuff in front of their coworkers.
She was privately messaging with a friend.

Not saying I find Lively morally superior, but I do see the difference between workplace harassment and private messages between friends.
