Re: NSFW words you hate
(Anonymous) 2026-02-03 01:28 am (UTC)(link)I hate "tits" in general but especially when used to describe a man's pecs. WORSE: Tiddies. This sounds like toddler-speak.

(Anonymous) 2026-02-03 02:05 am (UTC)(link)Forgot to mention, I spelled it "tiddies" above because I've seen it spelled that exact way in multiple fics. Again, in reference to men's chests. WHY.

(Anonymous) 2026-02-03 02:08 am (UTC)(link)Now that you say it, I realize that I’ve only seen it in fanfic to describe men’s chests.

(Anonymous) 2026-02-03 05:52 am (UTC)(link)Here's the thing, I love 'tiddies', IF I'm just in the group chat and my pals are thirsting about a guy with the sort of softer/saggier pecs of a real nice dad bod, but also the mood is silly. I think that's an appropriate time and place to break out a word like 'tiddies'. Juvenile? Perhaps.
(Being in a largely trans friend group, tits by any name are already gender neutral to me anyway. No matter what your gender and when you acquired it, as mammals we are all capable of attaining some level of fat deposits over the chest.)
ALL THAT SAID, I could not get over seeing 'tiddies' [sic] in a FIC. Maybe in dialogue, depending on the speaker, but CERTAINLY not in the narration. Imagine an omniscient third person narrator describing the chest of one of those hockey boys as his 'tiddies'. You'd lose all artistic respect for that writer now, wouldn't you? Horrid.
