Dick. It just sounds very juvenile to me.

I actually like dick because it's so simple and direct, same with cock though I like dick a bit more. Euphemisms on the other hand can sound pretentious and distant to me. I'm not picky though, I can skim over most words if they aren't to my taste.

Use of it won't ruin a fic for me, but I don't like it much. I will hit the back button if the only usage for a penis is "dick" though.

Pussy, tits, wang, describing dicks as "spongy" "weeping", and any "fancy" word the writer puts in without bothering to look it up / figure out how it works grammatically / what eras it's appropriate in (e.g., no, a contemporary dude isn't going to call anyone "wanton"; no, "eloping" isn't a synonym for "fuck" so nobody's going to be caught "eloping against the garden shed"; and no, "making small keens" is not a thing, stop it forever.)

"Making small keens" is a thing. It's a strange thing to put in a sex scene, but it's very much a thing.

The word for what they mean is "whimper", or, if they want to get cute with it "mewl". A "bitten back cry" will do in a pinch.
"Small keens" is an oxymoron which I've never seen used in a context to justify it, and using the verb "making" with it (rather than just saying "keening quietly") is just plain unidiomatic.

“Weeping” is especially bad for me because I associate it with infected wounds.

I’m glad to have missed that use of “eloping”, though I’m sadly familiar with “wanton” and “keening” used in very weird ways for smut.

Weeping, oozing... Yeah, both I immediately associate with puss. Not sexy.

Saw "eloping" misused like that a few times in fic set in the early 1900s, and keep thinking whoever writes that way must be seriously misunderstanding the source canon. Also amusing is when they try to use "strumpet" in some sort of pseudo-period dialect attempt at dirty talk.

I made a secret about this a little bit ago… while I’ve gotten over my dislike of many sex-related words, “gummy walls” is one I think I’ll never be okay with.

It just raises so many unpleasant unsexy associations.

That is heinous. Straight to jail for whoever came up with that one.

Isn’t it awful?!

I feel like I first saw it in the last few months, but then saw it a dozen times in smutty fanfic across multiple fandoms.

I don’t know if it’s actually a new trend or if it’s just a coincidence of my reading habits and attention.

I hate "tits" in general but especially when used to describe a man's pecs. WORSE: Tiddies. This sounds like toddler-speak.

I once got up, redressed, and left what would otherwise be a pretty decent hook-up because the guy would *not* stop saying "titties" even after I asked. His pouty disappointed face lives in my memory.

I'm okay with folds, tbh. "Sex" too because it's nondescript and neutral. But I've run into otherwise decent smut that uses the word "cunt" to refer to vulvas and it completely turns me off. I don't even find the word itself offensive, but it's such a blunt and crass word. I often see it used in prose-like or even romantic sex fics and it takes the immersion immediately. I find "pussy" juvenile and a huge turn-off too.

Tbh, I don't really read smut often anymore because words to describe AFAB anatomy are pretty awkward, and I'm only into F/F or F solo stuff. It's either too clinical and like I'm reading a medical manual, or it's extremely crude. I salute writers who can strike that perfect balance, but I'm not sure if I've found many.

There are sooo few words for AFAB sexy parts which aren't either childish or slurs. :(
