SA, I just now read your follow up response.

I mean, I technically have 14 followers, but 13 of those are inactive. (I purge the bots.) When I first joined tumblr it was for a fandom, and these 13 were in that fandom. I faded out of that fandom not long after and wasn't visibly active on tumblr then. The blogs are long dead.

I follow 31 blogs, I added maybe five of those in the past year. Only one followed back. It's not that strange, I think? Many are too big to follow everyone back. And the others, well, I assume they checked my blog and didn't vibe with it.

AYRT, that makes sense. I have ~30 followers and my most active followers are a handful of mutuals. I can get having like, 5 or 6 people, but one for a decade is what boggles my mind. I have a 2 mutuals who have stuck around for a decade and refollowed me when I changed blogs for "legacy" purposes. My blog is a hodgepodge of reblogs + resources + personal diary posts + shitposts and fandom, so I 100% get that won't vibe with everyone.

And I'm barely social on tumblr after some private and public drama. My blog is deindexed and while I do blorbopost, I don't want my opinions showing up in the main tag because I'm vocal about my NOTPs and other unpopular fandom opinions. I don't add additions to reblogs or follow new fandom people often, but that's mainly because of the whole "DNI" thing most fandoms have (I lean proship among other things, I don't want to upset anyone by interacting with their fanart/meta when they say they don't like that).
