If the susan bates works for you, then that's all you need, honestly. Like... I keep seeing Furls hooks get raved about (and they are PRETTY), but I have cheap hooks that work! Some of the ones that aren't ergonomic that I've added silicone beads to the handles of, on the smaller sizes, and then an ergonomic handle set on the inexpensive side that a friend gave me. And I can make all the same things that someone could make on a more expensive or attractive hook.
