I might flinch and scream at a horror movie, but I will physically cringe and walk out of a movie that relies on second hand embarrassment and romance-related misunderstandings as a source of comedy. It's the secret horror genre.

Yep, so many Will Ferrell and Steve Carell things that I'm probably never going to watch. I know there are others, but it seems like a lot of their comedy projects rely on cringe comedy.

SO MUCH THIS. I wish I could get past it, and I can usually read without squicking, but not watch for any amount of time. Bridgerton even. Somehow Heated Rivalry managed to mostly cut away before I lost it.
