Anybody here watching the Super Bowl this year?

I'm not really into sports, like not at all, but I think it's fun that so many people enjoy it. I'm not personally going to watch except maybe the halftime show.

Not a fan of (American) football, but yeah, that halftime show sounds like it'll be interesting. Maybe even as interesting as last year's.

Not me. I’ve only ever watched twice, when I was invited to someone’s place for a watching party. American Football just doesn’t appeal to me.

But I am watching a bit of the Olympics, mostly curling and ice hockey so far. That’s been pretty fun.

I only ever watch the performances ‘cause those are fun, but the game itself bores me.

LOL, no, I've only watched on the one or two times I've been invited to Superbowl parties. My Superbowl is the Oscars.

I watched the pre show and I’ll watch the halftime show. I am also switching over to it every 5-10 minutes to see how it’s progressing. I’m just watching it on the peacock app on my phone though, didn’t bother trying to update the TV and get everything working. I was trying to catch the commercials but I just learned that I’m sick of movie and rock stars selling beer and insurance and services that 30 years ago were total scams and aren’t much better now.

Bad Bunny and the Magats are having some Kid Rock show as an alternative because they think Bad Bunny isn’t American.

I’m making sure to have the halftime show on and honestly I’d never heard of Bad Bunny until he was announced as the main performer a few months ago.

Yeah, it’s very surprising. He looks like he’s going to keel over any second from a mixture of liver disease and at least half a dozen STDs. There was a video earlier this week making the rounds of him performing for some past Magat gathering and it was painful watching him try to perform but also hilarious watching the audience bob their heads all out of sync and make these little not-quite-dance moves.

Now, I only have a FB link to "verify" this and would love to find a better source, but apparently the TPUSA alternative halftime show got less than half the viewership of... the Puppy Bowl.

Which means even fewer people want to watch Kid Rock pretend to still be relevant.

Most years we just watch the Puppy Bowl, and then this year there's also the Olympics, but I hope everyone had fun at the Bad Bunny concert.

I work the graveyard shift and I don't like the Superbowl/football enough to change my sleep schedule around just to catch this. I wanted to watch it this year because I love Green Day and really like Bad Bunny, but oh well. Heard Bad Bunny was good.
