I don't need tons of focus on random or unappealing details (unless the scene is meant to be funny or dark, not an erotic scene), but a few "average" moments really bring a scene to life for me. It feels more grounded and like the more idealized parts of the scene are easier to picture. My brain fills in the rest, I assume it was a realistic scene without having to know every smell or awkward thing that happened.
