I knew absolutely nothing about Piranesi and loved it in a way that made it hard for me to get into other books for a little while. I can see how it wouldn’t be enjoyable for some other and would take a certain mood but for me there was just something incredible about the immersive feeling of this weird world and the protagonist’s strange but very compelling point of view.

Thanks for the reminder, I should try rereading it one of these days.
