Re: Do you have any squicks?
(Anonymous) 2026-02-17 03:08 am (UTC)(link)I would, however, use a "cis" tag if I were writing her as being a cis girl for whatever reason because that's NOT canon and so no one would be expecting to find that in a fic.
Re: Do you have any squicks?
(Anonymous) 2026-02-17 04:08 am (UTC)(link)Exactly! It's weird to me to tag for something that is canonly a part of who a character is. There's no need to add a citation unless you are changing the script/character themself! Just like you mentioned.
I honestly don't get it!
Re: Do you have any squicks?
(Anonymous) 2026-02-17 05:53 am (UTC)(link)It doesn't matter if it's canon or not? It's purely for sorting purposes.

(Anonymous) 2026-02-17 09:56 am (UTC)(link)I guess I didn't realize that a BL series explicitly meant that exactly zero other ships were allowed. Must be hard to write for a series with only two whole characters to fill the entire narrative. Your fandom must be tiny.
Re: Do you have any squicks?
(Anonymous) 2026-02-17 01:12 pm (UTC)(link)Tagging a slice of life canon as slice of life shows that it continues the genre of canon as opposed to diverging and being drama. Tagging a character as cis just shows that it continues the canon in the same way. Sorting and categorizing is good.
The vehement pushback about this mild idea is so, so strange to me

(Anonymous) 2026-02-17 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)This is so dramatic lol
