Very helpful, and you'll hear from a lot of other frustrated women who are dealing with symptoms, unhelpful medical professionals and all sorts of stuff.

Thanks. I only just started seeing my OBGYN, and he's listened so far. Just started taking hormones. we'll see if it works and if he continues to listen.

Yes? We tested my levels, and both estrogen and progesterone were really low. I now take estrogen in morning and progesterone at night. My appointments have so far all been in person, but virtual appointments could be available. And the office does have a portal where I could look at the test results and send the doctor questions.

Wow. Mine said, "Hormones? No way, no how, too many risks. Anyway you'll know you're done when you've been without a period for a year lol. Any questions?"

Me: "Yeah. What did I actually pay you for here?"

So, so sorry, that really sucks. There are good OBGYNs out there. I've had lots of bad ones. Took years to get my endo diagnosed and then treated because of bad ones. But I have been able to find good ones.

Honestly that part is what confuses me most. I haven't had a period since 2018, but I still have a cycle. So how do I tell?

Thank you. I feel fortunate to have not had issues like endo that made a good OBGYN necessary. Being celibate, I never even had an exam throughout my 30s.

It sounds like you've found one of the few who take women's health seriously, so your suffering might be drawing to a well-earned end overall. Hopefully this will be the norm rather than a fluke for future generations.

At least yours has listened 🙄 I've been seeing my obgyn for fibroids since November 2024 and he didn't take my request for a hysterectomy seriously when I had the free time to recover.

Now I've got a full time job and not enough time off to take for recovery if it was an option, but hey at least my womb is intact *sarcasm*

Ugh. So sorry. I had obgyns like that for years. They first didn't give me any treatment, then just kept insisting that birth control pills and/or shots would work when they clearly weren't. I did finally get a hysterectomy, thankfully.

I'm so sorry. I strongly encourage you to seek out other opinions. There are good ones out there. I really hope you can find one.
