It's not game of the year material, and does have AAA rushed issues. But it's still over hated and severely underrated, it's plenty of fun, really well made environments, and Kay and ND-5 are interesting characters to follow, especially in Pirate's Fortune.
(My 3rth most played game nearing 100 hours on steam... so I may be biased)
I doubt it thought.... And even if it did, the sequel is 100% canned. I can at least hope seeing them in other media.

(Anonymous) 2026-02-22 03:22 am (UTC)(link)Glad to hear they are enjoying it! I do wish they had options for multiple saves, I don't want to lose my main safe, but kind wished I could revisit previous missions with the recent updates.

(Anonymous) 2026-02-22 01:54 am (UTC)(link)I'm not gonna lie. I was excited for 'Outlaws' and bought it i On release, but could only get about two or three hours into it. It felt like they were just copying and pasting mechanics from other games. Like, it's perfectly normal to copy or iterate off of what's come before; everybody does it. But in this case, it felt lazy and unthinking, with the most striking example being the stealth grass in an indoor environment. So many things came across like, "popular games these days are doing X, so we will also do X, regardless whether it fits."
It's cool that you like it, and I've heard that sabaac is well done (I didn't try it), but I think it deserves the criticism it received.

(Anonymous) 2026-02-22 03:18 am (UTC)(link)It did! Especially on launch, I don't deny it's pretty flawed But it wasn't the criticism that hit it, tbh, it was the target of some heavy grifting at the time too, and despite the flaws the hate was completely overblown.
They have worked a lot into it, I didn't have your experience, but I also didn't get it into launch, and it's rare for games to get another chance (rightfully so). That's why I hope the book gives it another chance, more so now that more people who enjoyed the game are poping up.
