There is a group of fans that have kind of taken over the age regression term and run with it. I've mostly seen it written in a non sexual but kinky way. I always find it annoying when fandom groups take a word or idea and basically run with it and change the definition to fit their fantasies amd then people start using that new definition.

That's kind of messed up. In the circles I was in, age regression was mainly known as a trauma response or indulging in childhood-related activities like coloring book and watching old cartoons as a coping mechanism. I don't have an issue with ageplayers or CGL, and I understand some survivors find comfort in integrating age regression in their kinks, but it's really unfair to non-sexual/purely trauma-related age regressors to make that term interchangeable with ageplay or CGL.
