Old Fashion Hacks/Shortcuts
(Anonymous) 2026-02-22 05:34 am (UTC)(link)Brought to you by new jeans I purchased with the legs too long. Then remembering in high school where my sister and cousins would cuff the bottom of the legs inwards and staple the cuff! They wore crew or knee high socks so the staples wouldn't scratch their skin.
I had a former coworker who used rubber bands, because she saw how military troopers kept their pants from getting too muddy.

(Anonymous) 2026-02-22 06:09 am (UTC)(link)I'm not sure I have many, or not any that aren't obvious/eclipsed by more modern methods?
Right now, all I can think is that when putting on eye makeup you add a spot of white to the eyeduct area, under the far arch of the brow, and center of the lid to add highlights to regular makeup application. Just because I know I've read it somewhere and have always done it.
I know how to wear a tuck, or hoods, roll a sleeve, and layer, but there's no real trick about them. idk.
(then again I've never learned to wink properly and do one whole eye with both completely closed so if you need tips for that, I might have them! but the answer is mostly just when to blink and by feel)

(Anonymous) 2026-02-22 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)I'd cuff them too, or just wear big heels if it was a pair of flare jeans. (God help my ankles if I did that now.)
