Luckily I haven't come across that much. But I also only read fanfic as my biggest involvement in fandom lately.
Which reminds me that there are some instances of good in these circumstances. I remember a number of fics being commissioned back when Australia had their wildfires to support the communities that were hit the hardest, and a few similar situations since.

It's not the same, obviously. But they can co-exist.
Still, anyone who proclaims you can't enjoy something because of the wars and the suffering going on in our world right now, specifically when they have nothing to do with your fandom really need to stop.
