It reads to me like it was never meant to be heard it its entirety, because it has no real closure. My favorite is This is What It Sounds Like too, but technically I think it's too much repetition and not enough lyrics to go around for the entire group, not just Rumi.

I think How It's Done is probably the best crafted song overall, but Your Idol and Soda Pop are just so cool. I miss the days when more than one song from each movie got nominated.

Yeah, I REALLY think How It's Done was THE song (Your Idol being my second fave, and Soda Pop being admittedly catchy as hell and very fun)... but I wouldn't have been mad about This is What It Sounds Like gettting the nom, it has that 'oscar nominated song' feel to it.

I believe two songs can still be nominated for the Oscars per film (Emilia Perez had two terrible songs nominated last year). I'm assuming Netflix only submitted one, probably out of concern that two songs would split votes. If it was a weaker year and Sinners wasn't there I wonder if they would have gone for two.

I would have loved to see Soda Pop performed on the Oscar stage!
