Facial hair?

Is it finally going out of fashion? If you're younger (say, mid-20s or younger), do most guys you know still have it?

Also, why did it have to suddenly become popular right around the time I became an adult? Hipster beards were one thing - that was just one type of person, but after the hipster era it was like EVERY adult male had a damn beard.

I’m old but most of my friends and neighbors have children that age. They all still have facial hair. But it’s mostly the patchy, “I have terrible hygiene” kind of facial hair they’ve been wearing since they first hit puberty. Some have updated the look to the hideous caterpillar mustaches to go with their permed…mullets? Is it still called a mullet when they shave the sides? They look like Hall and Oats combined into one person.

I like the beards, what I can't get behind is the solo stach. It seems all the 20yos have porn mustaches these days. Not that it matters to me I just find it a baffling choice.

Also beards being in style means that more men take their pride in them and actually keep beards groomed.
