I prefer binging shows just because I enjoy riding that hype for something I'm enjoying and watching the whole thing while I'm still hyped for it and enjoying it. Drag stuff out for too long and my interest begins to wane unless it's something with a really great story that keeps me excited for the next episode... and let's be real, that isn't the case for 95% of the stuff that comes out these days.
