Hannibal Barca/Scipio Africanus. There was a podcast series recently on Carthage vs. Rome, which reminded me that someone on another com has made a "convincing" case for them as a couple. Honourable enemies who died within a few weeks of each other, and their bodies were never found! of course they faked their own deaths and ran away together!
