I agree, although I haven't been to a park in years and years, I also have happy memories of them and sometimes when I'm bored I'll browse through Reddit or something of people talking about their park experiences. And like you said, there are better and worse times to visit, and ways to have a better experience that OP could check out for the specific one they go to. You're right about things being closed and parks having less staffing during the slower days/off season, which really sucks. And it just kind of snowballs because people get frustrated with it and go even less so the park makes less money so they cut staffing and operating hours even more and on and on...
