I prefer the Stans, but it really depends on the fandom/circumstance. Like I'd rather be assaulted by something positive than negative, and if I don't like what they're saying I just disengage. With Stans they generally transfix on something new, while I have had a Hater respond to my lack of response by declaring "they knew it/they won" which is just plain annoying. Both can be terrible though.

Like idc about HP or TS, but being accused of murder by not breaking into peoples homes to burn the books is much worse than being vaguely worried about a strangers mental health while otherwise scrolling on by.
