I’ve been very sad and stressed lately due to my job. I can’t seem to do anything right and I keep blaming myself for everything that goes wrong. Then I saw a video of Mister Rogers asking, “Have you ever done anything mean to yourself?”, and it was enough for me to take a step back and realize I’ve been very unkind to myself. Work is still bad, but I feel a little less sad now.

Secret because I never really liked Mister Rogers as a kid and thought he was kinda boring. I appreciate him more as an adult.

These Olympics are the first in my lifetime that I remember hearing the athletes' political opinions.

And goddamit, can we not have ONE event where we all just non-cynically support our countries's teams and athletes in a silly competition and even - gasp - have a little national pride?!

If I had to choose, and it's a topic I don't care about, I'd rather be around haters than stans.

IME haters will leave you alone and interact amongst themselves if you clearly state you couldn't give less of a shit about a topic, but stans are desperate for everybody to like their thing, take your lack of care as an insult, and try pointlessly to defend their thing from your imaginary attack of not-caring until you're sick of them.

I find there are two camps of RPF types

one camp is the people who are like 'this is totally made up I know nothing about these actors, these are fictional characters having adventures in a loosely IRL based setting to me lol, make the band members kiss' .... and the other camp is ''''concerned with accuracy'''' and will bother the first camp about how what so and so said in chapter 2 is ''OOC'' to some interview on some specific date 5 years ago

One is much more tinhat and creepy than the other.
