There's two sex scenes per episode, except episode 5, where there are none. Calling it porn with plot is kinda overblown.

Having said that, I would argue that the only sex scenes that really can't be skipped are the ones in episode 4. You'll lose nuances when skipping the rest but I do think that the before and after give enough context that it's possible to follow the character development anyway. It's not gonna be as good an experience, but forcing yourself to watch through scenes you hate also isn't a good experience, lbr.

I mean, 2 scenes per ep is kind of a lot.

+1

That is a lot. Especially right off the bat like that. I don't imagine they're short either.

If your hour long porn only has two sex scenes, it's bad at being porn. If your hour long porn fades to black every time sex commences, it is VERY bad at being porn.

It's this framing as if the show is nothing but sex that I'm pushing back on. I've seen a lot before (and it's what kept me from watching originally, which I'm admittedly salty about). The show wouldn't have been as successful if it were.

First of all, you cannot know that beforehand. Unless you find a guide "which scenes can I safely skip" before watching a show, you'll have to watch every scene.

Also, I do not agree. You cannot skip the sex scenes without losing essential context.
