From most places I saw, people were angry at the BBC for not censoring the slur but editing out an award winner's speech because they said "free Palestine" and questioned why John Davidson was placed in a seat so close to a mic.
It's also questionable if any of this was accidental or ineptitude. Whatever the reason(s), it feels insidious.
