I think a lot of the blame people saw re: Davidson came out early on, before people fully grasped the situation and the BBC's mishandling of the event. Jamie Foxx famously said he believed that Davidson meant it, but he got some pushback from advocates for peoples with Tourette's. A lot of people don't get Tourette's, so it's not surprising that some famous people don't get it, either. I'm not sure if Foxx has walked back that comment, though.
